I am Zakia Sultana Sanam, a final-year student studying for a Bachelor of Social Sciences, majoring in Media Studies and Journalism at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. My double major in Communication for Development and Digital Journalism and minor in Sustainable Development have made my academic journey quite enriched with learning, growth, and creativity. Throughout these last four years, I have been involved in this diverse ever-changing field of media, developing skills in communication research, multimedia storytelling, development campaigns, and journalistic reporting.
Throughout my academic years, I have been engaged in numerous pragmatic projects and internships, including work for Voice of America (VOA) Bangla and the BRAC Communication Audio Visual Unit. All these experiences have enriched my portfolio with evidence regarding my capabilities and professional development pertaining to communication, visual storytelling, content creation, and research.
This portfolio represents my work and growth over the years. It includes academic projects, research, and creative outputs of a range of core courses, apprenticeships, and extracurricular activities. I shall try to present, through this document, the skill and expertise gained during my time at ULAB and the valuable experiences that have prepared me to give meaning to the fields of journalism, communication, and development.
