Task: To design a poster for a health campaign regarding any health concern
Course Code and Name: MSJ3262 Health Communication
Project Name: Letβs Fight Against Anxiety Disorder
Project Date: Spring 2023
Project Type: Individual
Project Completed on Semester No: 10CI Theme of the Term: Resource Mobilization
Project Description:
The “Let’s Fight Against Anxiety Disorder” poster from the MSJ3262 Health Communication course forms a part of the health communication campaign intended to increase awareness of anxiety disorders. The slogan points out that, on an international scale, anxiety affects mental health, hence drawing attention to the alarming statistic that about 264 million adults are afflicted with anxiety-related mental health issues according to the report by WHO. This visual uses a distressed individual in order to show the emotional turmoil of anxiety and sends a bold message encouraging people to make them seek help.
Project Justification:
This is a health awareness campaign in pursuit of urgent mental health support, as anxiety disorders receive little attention or are misunderstood. The poster is to reduce stigma in mental health struggles and subsequently motivate resource mobilization towards helping these individuals cope with anxiety. By showing how real struggles are, the campaign looks forward to eliciting empathy, understanding, and subsequently taking action toward access to mental health care.
